Calvin Klein, Twi-hard?
(NEW YORK) Eva Mendes and Kate Bosworth have both starred in Calvin Klein’s ads in the past, but the newest actor in the brand’s lineup is less glam, more vamp—vampire, that is. Twilight's Kellan Lutz, along with actor Mehcad Brooks and athletes Fernando Verdasco and Hidetoshi Nakata, will be featured in an upcoming “Mark Your Spot” global advertising campaign for the new Calvin Klein X underwear line. The images, which will break globally in April 2010 magazines, were shot by Mikael Jansson in New York City and directed by Trey Laird of Laird & Partners.
“The launch of Calvin Klein X underwear is a truly global initiative, so we believe it is imperative to feature talent from our most important regions--Asia, Europe, and the USA--in the launch advertising,” said Tom Murry, president and CEO of Calvin Klein, Inc. “The creative is in the spirit and tradition of the most innovative of Calvin Klein underwear campaigns.” In addition to the print campaign, a microsite, xmarkyourspot.com, will be launched to feature all materials and videos of the shoot.
